Cleverboxes

CleverBoxes are a leading provider of IT equipment for commercial and domestic use and have been established since 2002. With a product range of well over 125,000, their website requirements was a robust online store, able to cope with high volumes of traffic, up-to-date product and stock information, an online returns system and order tracking facility.

The first challenge was to create a multi-store site, allowing 4 front end websites to all run off one back end system. We integrated our advanced search functionality with suggestive search to make browsing the 125,000 different products as easy as possible. The site also features merchandising areas to upsell related products to customers, a 3rd party review system, social media and live chat integration.

As this project is ongoing, we plan to enhance the Cleverboxes site even further in the near future with the introduction of behavioural merchandising to offer targeted and personalised product recommendations to each customer, based on the products they have browsed or purchased in the past. We are also plan to upgrade the account login and shopping basket areas of the site to increase conversion rates. Since the site has gone live, we have reduced basket abandonment rates significantly so with these new additions we will reduce it even further.
